NutriSystem was founded over 30 years ago as the first structured weight loss program of its kind. At that time, NS operated from both company-owned and franchised weight loss centers located throughout the country. In 1997, NutriSystem Diet began a pilot program to see if people were interested in having the product shipped directly to their door.

It proved to be a success and NutriSystem Direct was born.

In 1999, NS established an Internet presence allowing consumers to experience the most comprehensive online weight loss program.

And now, in 2007, we have merged the NutriSystem Direct network marketing approach with our online program to create a state-of-the art business opportunity providing a time-honored weight loss plan.
